Hoxie, Kan. ⸺ The Sheridan County Community Foundation is pleased to offer a Grant Writing Workshop in Hoxie on Thursday, June 5, 2025, offering nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and community leaders an opportunity to learn how to access funding for projects that benefit Northwest Kansas.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Bottle KAP Studios, 721 Main Street, Hoxie. Attendees will receive expert guidance from Betsy Wearing and Kyra Reese of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and Carol Sloper of the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation.

Participants will learn key strategies for writing strong grant applications and will be guided through the application processes for both the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and the Sheridan County Community Foundation—an affiliate of the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation.

The workshop is hosted by the Sheridan County Community Foundation and is open to the public at no cost. Refreshments will be provided, and pre-registration is requested by Friday, May 30 to assist with event planning.

"This workshop is a valuable opportunity for local organizations to gain the knowledge and tools they need to pursue meaningful funding opportunities,” said Karl Pratt, Executive Director of the Sheridan County Community Foundation. “We encourage all Sheridan County area organizations to attend and take advantage of this resource.”
