With a dad who was a regular performer from 1989 to 2004, it’s clear that musical talent runs in the family. “I always wanted to be a spitting image of my dad,” he said. The track features clever references to the classic movie, mixing a fun and upbeat rhythm with a little Kansas pride.
Brock's excitement about this release was evident during the interview, especially when he revealed how quickly the song came together. “I wrote the song in about 20 minutes in the shower. It’s one of my favorites,” he said. And it’s easy to see why. The track combines a 90s country vibe with a modern edge, perfect for the Red Dirt fanbase.

Brock also shared the behind-the-scenes story of how he worked with talented studio musicians to bring the song to life. “I had Austin Crumb, who’s the protege of the most recorded guitar player in Nashville, Brent Mason, lay down the guitar tracks for me,” Brock shared. “It was really special to have my dad play keys and organ on this one too. It’s a song that means a lot to me.”
