What to Expect at the Flatlander Festival
This year marks the 38th anniversary of the Flatlander Festival, a celebration that has grown to become a staple for Goodland and the surrounding area. For those who haven’t attended before, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
Activities Kick Off Friday
The festivities kick off today and continue through Saturday, featuring something for everyone—car enthusiasts, families, and anyone looking to have a good time. Activities span from 8th Street all the way to 16th Street, with highlights including:
- Bike Show at 8th Street
- Vendors offering food and fun activities for kids
- Car Show from 12th to 16th Street
Food, Fun, and Festivities
Let’s talk food! With over 60 vendors this year—including a mix of new food trucks—you’re guaranteed to find delicious options to satisfy your cravings. Whether you’re in the mood for barbecue, snow cones, or something more, you’ll be covered!
Goodland is truly a gathering place for the tri-state area, attracting visitors from Colorado, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. It’s a weekend of community, connection, and celebration.
Musical Entertainment
The entertainment lineup is just as exciting! Here’s a taste of what you can expect:
- Friday Night: The Flatlander Fusion concert in the park features the fantastic Phillips Fan from Carbondale, Colorado, along with a free barbecue sponsored by Sherman County.
- Saturday Performances:
- David Orange King Spoonful from Denver, Colorado, near the beer garden
- The Platinum Girls from Nebraska
In the evening, you’ll have options for community dances and more live music, including:
- The Next Tuesday Band at VFW (now Tradition Restaurant)
- Jimmy Dale Richardson at the Murray-Custom Auto Body Shop
